Our boy Brett Casaccio has been the Lead Ads Specialist for going on a year now! In that time he's helped clients explode their paid search campaigns and net incredible results. It's high time we sat down with him and got some answers. Who is the man behind the analytics?

How'd you get started in digital marketing?

I got started in digital marketing when I founded my watch brand, Toro Luna. That's when I first started learning about Google Adwords and Analytics, and how vital these two platforms are in helping business owners make smart decisions regarding their digital efforts and web presence.

Speaking of Toro Luna, how'd you start that hustle?

I started working on it four years ago this Winter Break! Crazy how time flies.

Have you always had that entrepreneurial spirit?

Oh, definitely. My first endeavor was lemonade stands (which everyone does) but in middle school I became interested in e-commerce from Ebay. My dad asked me to learn how to sell some of his old train sets, so I would work with my dad and list them on Ebay. From there he always encouraged me on my ideas.

What was your first job?

My first job was a caddie at a golf course (I was in 7th grade and weighed 90 pounds). You learn A LOT about people on the golf course. [laughs] It was a great experience, and I did it for 11 years, even up until I graduated college.

What about ads specifically drew you to them?

I actually got into Ads on accident, I got offered a job right out of college working for a buddies Dad from home. He had a few clients and I learned Adwords from a course I took on Udemy. I got addicted to data analysis and results from there, creating successful campaigns that drive a lot of revenue for clients really brings out my competitive nature and is sort of like a sport to me. [laughs]

An an ads specialist, what is your definition of a 'good ad' or 'good campaign'?

Simply put, a good ad is one that converts.

What's something you have enjoyed most about Helix House?

100% the people and culture here! I've never had a work experience quite like it, where everyone knows how to have a good time with each other in the office, but still gets their shit done. Quite impressive.

What's something you've been really proud of accomplishing during your first year at Helix?

I'm really proud of the number of clients I've been able to help grow their business over the past year.

Who or what inspires you?

There definitely isn't one who or what. I'm inspired by anyone who left this world with more than what they entered with.

What's the last book you read? Best?

I don't even think I read a single book in college.

What are you binging on Netflix?

I'm watching House of Cards.....again. [laughs]

You’ve fallen dead (oh no!) and are now a ghost. Where do  is you haunt?

I've actually thought about this. [laughs] I'll probably haunt the people who dwell in the house I grew up in.

What’s on your bucket list?

I would like to become a professor or a teacher someday, that's always been on my bucket list. It'd be awesome to inspire others and help them with their career paths. Having an intern last semester had an impact on me because I was able to see how he used the skills I taught him to progress and help clients.

Last question! What's something you'd like to accomplish in your second year with Helix?

Next year I definitely want to take on more e-commerce clients. Those are the accounts I have the most fun with.
